Awantipora, Dec 06: Pulwama District Volleyball Championship kicked off at the Hajahad Public Higher Secondary School in Awantipora. The tournament, meticulously organized by the District Volleyball Association of Pulwama, unfolded under the collaboration of the Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir and the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council.
The grand inauguration ceremony witnessed the distinguished presence of Chief Guest of Honor, DSP Awantipora Mumtaz, who graced the occasion with his presence. Among the key figures attending were Organizing Secretary Mudasir Ahmad Dar and the dedicated staff members of Hajahad Public School Awantipora.
The tournament, featuring a total of 12 fiercely competitive teams, including four girls’ teams, promised an adrenaline-fueled spectacle for sports enthusiasts across the district. The opening match set the tone for the championship as Tral Warriors clashed with Danger Pora 11 in a thrilling encounter. Tral Warriors emerged victorious with a commanding scoreline of 25/20, 25/10, 25/15, leaving spectators on the edge of their seats.
The excitement extended to the girls’ section, where Awantipora Girls showcased their prowess by defeating Tral Girls with a dominating score of 25/15, 25/21, 25/11. The spirited performances from both teams added an extra layer of intensity to the championship, captivating the audience with every spike and serve.
