Pulwama: An agriculture scientist from Gusoo village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district has added one more feather to his cap.

He added that developing countries have enormous population growth and shrinking agricultural land. “Food security will remain a challenge before us, I have given a new idea how we can cope up with food insecurity through my paper and I think it is for this reason it has been awarded,” he said.

Besides oats, the scientist has published research papers and reviewed articles on varied subjects with special focus on food security and climate change.
He has around 140 research papers and review articles and has authored 4 books. He also won an international post-doctoral fellowship.
Recognising his research work many government and non-government organisations have awarded him from time to time which include young scientist award 2016, world sustainable agriculture award, young scientist award 2017, Barbara Mcclingtok award 2016, distinguished scientist award 2017, outstanding scientist award 2017 and Academic excellence award 2018.
