Srinagar, July 30: A public delegation comprising members of civil society and students on Tuesday called on Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari to apprise him about certain public issues and grievances.
The delegation, according to a party statement, was led by Imtiyaz Rashid Chashti, Chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Civil Society.
During the meeting, the youth voiced their concerns about the increasing unemployment and the lack of job opportunities in Jammu & Kashmir, the statement said, adding, “They requested the Apni Party leader to support their demand, specifically requesting age relaxation for the recruitment of constables and sub-inspectors in the J&K Police.”
Bukhari gave a patient hearing to the visiting delegation and assured them that he would bring their concerns and demands to the notice of the government.
