Srinagar, May 11: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL), Faz Lul Haseeb on Monday said that a team of Parliamentary Standing Committee (PSC) on Housing & Urban Affairs (H&UA) appears to be largely satisfied with the works done under the Smart City project.
Speaking to the media persons, Haseeb said the delegation of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Housing and Urban Affairs is inspecting the various assets developed under the Smart City project.
The CEO said the team will subsequently proceed to Gulmarg. “A review meeting is scheduled to take place there tomorrow, which will be attended by all officials from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Following that, we will take note of whatever suggestions or feedback they may offer,” he said.
Replying to a query, Haseeb said the assistance is always welcome and necessary. “However, as of now, the committee appears to be largely satisfied. They have offered certain suggestions and feedback, and we are currently working on implementing them.”
Asked about the Smart City projects, the CEO replied that the Smart City project is nearing its completion. “Only a handful of projects remain outstanding. However, we are now looking forward to undertaking some new projects. As and when these new initiatives are conceived and conceptualised, we will keep you duly informed,” he added.
