Jammu, May 22: The district administration Jammu after holding detailed consultations with Zila Sainik Welfare Board has now sent a proposal to the government of Jammu and Kashmir regarding salary and ex-gratia for the four thousand ex-army personnel who will be deployed at key locations across Union Territory.
“Earlier, the IGP and DC Jammu held detailed consultations and worked out modalities for engagement of 4000 ex-army personnel,” Chairman, Zila Sainik Welfare Board, Col BS Sambyal informed Rising Kashmir.
“We (Zila Sainik Board) also held detailed consultations with the DC regarding salary to be provided to the 4000 ex-army personnel to be deployed at key installations across J&K and also the ex-gratia to be given to the families of these former ex-servicemen in case of any eventuality,” Sambyal said.
After detailed discussions, the proposal regarding salary of the ex-servicemen and the ex-gratia has now been sent to the government, he said.
All our concerns have been addressed and the proposal has been sent to the government, he said. After ‘Op Sindor’, the government decided to re-employ/deploy four thousand (4000) ex-army personnel/officers at key army installations across J&K
He said that all 4000 ex-army personnel will be deployed in a strategic way so that all the vital army installations are covered.
