Awantipora, Apr 13: The Islamic University of Science and Technology today organized its annual program on the Message of Ramadhan. On this occasion, a panel discussion on Environmental Crisis and Religion and a Naat Competition was held. The program organized by the Department of Islamic Studies, was attended by students, scholars, staff and officers of the university.
The program was presided over by Prof. Lily Want, Dean Outreach who was also the chief guest and Dr. Asifa Baba, Dean Students was the guest of Honour of the program. The best Naat reciters of the competition were awarded.
Dr. Munejah Khan (Dean Humanities & Social Sciences), Dr. Afroze Bisati (Head Department of Islamic Studies), and Dr. Aijaz Qureshi (Coordinator Biodiversity park, also spoke in the program and deliberated upon environmental conscious in view of the Islamic perspectives.
