Prisoner flees police custody in Bari Brahamana

Jammu, Dec 25: A prisoner fled from police custody in the Bari Brahamana area of Samba district on Saturday. 
As per sources, Riyaz Khan, a resident of Bhagwati Nagar was lodged in Bari Brahamana police station on Thursday in case FIR number 225/22 under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC. 
“On Saturday, he complained of a stomach ache, after which he was taken out of prison. The moment he came out of prison, he attacked police personnel and fled from the spot,” said a police officer.
SHO Bari Brahmana, Inspector Sunil Sharma told Rising Kashmir, “the accused attacked one of our ASIs and injured him. He has been booked afresh under section 224 of the IPC.” 
“A team of police officers is after him. Very soon, he will be put behind the bars,” the police officer said.
