Srinagar, July 28 : Amid a persistent heatwave, the Division administration of Kashmir has ordered the suspension of classwork for students up to the primary level in both government and private schools on July 29 and 30.
In an official order, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir V.K. Bidhuri stated that despite the suspension of classes for young students, teaching and non-teaching staff are required to continue their duties.
The order specifies, “In view of the persistent heatwave prevailing in the valley, classwork for students up to the primary level in both government and recognized private schools shall remain suspended on 29th and 30th July 2024.”
The order clarifies, “However, all teaching and non-teaching staff shall continue to attend their duties as usual.”
