Preparations for Digital Week celebration discussed at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Aug 28: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ganderbal, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah on Monday convened a meeting here to discuss the Modalities and preparations for the celebrations of upcoming Digital Week-2023 at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here.
A diverse range of activities, scheduled for the digital week, were thoroughly deliberated upon, along with strategies for the successful execution.
During the meeting, it was informed that the departments would offer online services by setting up booths for the convenience of the general public and organize literacy and awareness campaigns across the district to inform residents about the various government programmes and services offered online thus enabling them to benefit from these initiatives during the Digital week.
The ADC underscored the importance of collaborative efforts among all departments and directed for formulation of a comprehensive plan that ensures participatory Digital Week.
All the departments were directed to deploy one dedicated Computer Operator along with Laptop for providing online services and awareness regarding online services of their department during the celebration of Digital Week mela.
The ADC further emphasized upon the concerned officers to involve elected PRIs, Students and Field Functionaries for generating awareness on online services delivery during the digital week.
He issued the necessary directives to district officers of all departments participating in the ‘Digital J&K Mela’ to arrange IEC material regarding IT initiatives and online services of their respective departments to be displayed at their respective stalls and for distribution to the public, at their own.
The meeting was attended by ASP Ganderbal, CPO, ACR, SDM Kangan, Executive Engineers, DSWO, ARTO besides other district and sectoral officers.
