Srinagar, April 18: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi Friday praised the beauty of Kashmir during his visit to Srinagar for the grand premiere of his upcoming film “Ground Zero”. The event marked a special moment, as it was the first red carpet film premiere in Kashmir after 38 years.

Emraan Hashmi was accompanied by the film’s director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, producer Akshat Ajay Sharma, co-producer Ankit Tiwari, and executive producer Gurpal Sachar. The entire team travelled to Srinagar to celebrate this milestone event, which also honoured the Border Security Force (BSF) for their bravery and sacrifice.

Speaking to the media, Emraan Hashmi shared his feelings about Kashmir and its people. “I want to come here again and again to Srinagar,” he said, expressing his fondness for the Valley.

The actor further added, “Ground Zero is going to Bollywood, especially in Kashmir also. I just hope people from Kashmir and Srinagar will go and watch the film in theatres over here.”

Hashmi also spoke about the strong bond between Bollywood and Kashmir. “ Bollywood has a great connection with Kashmir. I hope more film shoots come,” he said, highlighting the valley’s beauty and its long-standing relationship with Indian cinema.

Director Tejas Deoskar echoed similar sentiments and said the Ground Zero team felt proud to be part of this historic moment in Kashmir. During the visit, Hashmi and Deoskar shared light-hearted moments with the media, even hinting at the possibility of a sequel to the film.

Ground Zero tells the story of BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey, who led India’s largest anti-terror operation in five decades. The film highlights the courage, commitment, and sacrifices of BSF soldiers.

BSF officers and soldiers were present as special guests at the premiere, underlining the film’s tribute to their service. Ground Zero is set for a nationwide release on April 25.
