Bandipora, May 07: Residents of Chandaji village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district have been struggling with a weak network signal for years.
The issue has affected around 400 customers, including students who are finding it difficult to attend online classes due to poor connectivity.
Yasir Mirza, a social activist from the area told Rising Kashmir that a Jio tower was installed in the village three years ago, but it has not been able to provide a strong enough signal to meet the needs of the community.
“We have been facing this problem for a long time now. The network is very weak, and it is affecting our daily lives. The students are suffering the most ,” Mirza said.
Another local said that they are unable to make calls or use the internet properly. Even sending a message takes forever. This is causing a lot of inconvenience to them, especially during emergencies.
Another local said that we are living in the 21st century, and yet we are struggling with basic network connectivity. It is unacceptable that they have to put up with this inconvenience every day.
Mirza and other villagers have reached out to the Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, urging him to take action to resolve the issue. They have also requested the telecom company to improve the network in the area.
The villagers are hopeful that their long-standing issue will finally be resolved, and they will be able to enjoy seamless network connectivity like the rest of the country.
