Jammu, Jan 17: Several delegations and individuals including members of Panchayat Raj institutions on Tuesday called on Lieutenant Governor at Raj Bhavan Jammu an apprised him about issues of public interest.
Accordig to an official statement from Raj Bhawan, Senior Vice President, Apni Party G H Mir called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan.
Mir discussed with the Lt Governor various issues of public importance including availability of essential items in the Valley in view of the prevailing weather conditions.
Similarly, the delegation of BJP OBC Morcha led by Sh Sunil Prajapati, State President in their meeting with the Lt Governor put forth the issue of reservation and simplifying the process of obtaining OBC certificate.
Later, a delegation of Nursery Grower’s Association of Kashmir led by Afiq Hussan Mattoo also called on the Lt Governor and apprised him of the issues of Nursery Growers and their welfare.
DDC Chairperson, Ganderbal Nuzhat Ishfaq also called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. She apprised the Lt Governor about various issues of public importance of Ganderbal. She also put forth the issue of installation of electric poles in the district.
Former Legislator, Surinder Ambardar also called on the Lt Governor and projected welfare issues of the Minority Community employees working in Kashmir.
He hailed the Lt Governor-led UT administration for the land reforms and taking concrete measures for the equitable development of J&K.
Later BJP District President Anantnag Nazir Ahmad Ganie met the Lt Governor and apprised him about the various developmental issues of Anantnag pertaining to augmentation of healthcare facilities, road widening, and other such matters.
Meanwhile, the Travel Agents Association of Jammu led by its President Capt Anil Gour (Retd.) also met Lt Governor and put forth various issues concerning tour operators and travel agents, and promotion of tourism in Jammu.
The Lt Governor gave a patient hearing to all the issues put forth by the concerned delegations and assured them of appropriate redressal of their genuine issues and demands.
