Police solves theft case within 2 hours in Ganderbal, accused arrested

Police in Ganderbal solved a theft case within 2 hours by arresting an accused person and recovered stolen cash from his possession.

A Police spokesperson said, Today, around 0930 hours, Police Station Kheerbawani received information through reliable sources that some unknown persons have broken the lock of the donation box of Zirayat Baba Hyder Shrine located at Tulamulla and have stolen the Cash fom the box. Accordingly, case vide FIR No. 52/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Kheerbawani and investigation was set into motion.

During investigation, Police constituted a Special Police team to nab the culprits involved in the commission of the crime. After strenuous efforts, Police Party of PS Kheerbawani apprehended one accused person identified as Parveez Ahmad Saed son of Ghulam Ahmad saed resident of Narayan Bagh Ganderbal. On his disclosure, stolen cash of Rs. 24,600/- and some newly purchased clothes from stolen cash were recovered.

General Public hailed the efforts of Ganderbal Police for swift action in solving the theft case within 02 hours of the theft.
