Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday have solved a theft case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime and recovered stolen property worth lacs from their possession in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A Police spokesperson said that Police Station Kakapora received a written complaint from one mobile shop owner namely Owais Ahmed Bakal stating therein that his shop has been burgled during intervening night of 20/21-01-2024 and mobiles worth lacs besides some cash were also stolen. On receipt of this information, a case vide FIR No. 05/2024 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kakapora and investigation was taken up.
“During the course of investigation many suspects were rounded up and some leads were followed and after analysis of CCTV footage, two persons namely Sahil Shafi Gugjoo son of Mohd Shafi Gugjoo resident of Kakapora and Khursheed Ahmed rather @adnan son of Shabir Ahmed rather resident of Naman Kakapora were arrested. On their disclosure, stolen property was recovered from their possession. They have been shifted to PS where they remain in custody”, he said.
