Srinagar, Apr 30: Police organised a farewell function to accord a warm send-off to an officer and an official who superannuated from their active services in Ganderbal.
On attaining the age of superannuation, SI Liyaqat Ali and HC Abdul Rehman were given a warm send-off by all ranks of Ganderbal Police. On their retirement, a simple but impressive farewell party was organized at DPL Ganderbal, a police spokesperson said in a statement.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar appreciated the work and dedication of the retiree officer and the official towards their duties. He extended good wishes and healthy post-retirement life to them. He also presented gifts to retirees as a token of love and respect for their exceptional services spanning over more than three decades.
DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Gh Hassan and other police officers/officials were also present on the occasion. They also acknowledged the contribution of the outgoing officer/official and conveyed their best wishes to them for post-retirement life.
