Srinagar, Mar 20: Police in Srinagar organised a Volleyball tournament under Civic Action Programme at Tullibagh, Khunmoh on Thursday in which about 150 to 200 spectacles and participants participated.
Eight teams competed in the tournament and a total of seven matches, including the final, were played with high energy and sportsmanship. On the conclusion of the tournament, the “Junior Star” bagged the trophy and has been appreciated with cash reward, prizes and medals. Besides, the runner up team “Khunmoh Tigers” was also awarded with prizes, medals and trophies. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from several teams, proving a high level of skill and competitive spirit.
The event was attended by senior police officials, local dignitaries, and community members, all of whom praised the initiative. At the conclusion of the tournament, winning and runner-up teams were appreciated and awarded trophies and certificates, by the chief guest.
The participating teams lauded the role of police for organising such events and urged for conducting these events in future also. The tournament not only brought excitement but also strengthened ties between law enforcement and the community.
