Police Organise Girls Badminton Tournament in Kulgam

Srinagar, March 26: Under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2024-25, Police in Kulgam organised a Girls’ Badminton Tournament at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Katrasoo, to promote sportsmanship, discipline and healthy competition among young athletes.
The final match saw an exciting contest between Zaira Ashraf and Sania Murtaza, in which Zaira Ashraf secured the win. DySP DAR Kulgam Shri Mohd Ayoub Rather presided over the event and distributed cash reward and trophies as a token of love and encouragement. Besides, Principal Govt GHSS Katrasoo Shri Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh, staff of the school and other officers of Kulgam Police were present on the occasion. J&K Police remains committed to engaging youth in constructive activities, fostering talent, and strengthening community relations through sports. Such initiatives will continue to encourage young athletes and contribute to their overall development.
