 Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament: 8 matches played on 3rd day

Srinagar, Dec 25: On the third day of the 18th Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament organized by J&K Police, eight matches were played on Sunday – four at TRC Football Ground Srinagar, and four at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar. 
Match No. 12
The match started at 1100 hrs between Zone Sopore and State Sports Council at TRC in presence of Javed Iqbal Commandant IRP-17th Bn. The match was won by State Sports Council by a 1:0 goal. The lone goal was scored by Shabir Jersey No. 04. The Man of the Match was awarded to Basit Jersey No.01 (goalkeeper) of the winning team for his excellent performance.
Match No. 13
The match started at 1230 hrs between DFA and Jehlum FC at TRC in presence of Baqar Samoon, Commandant IRP-20th Bn. The match was won by DFA Bandipora by 4:1. The 1st goal scorer of DFA Bandipora was Rashid Fayaz Jersey No. 15 and three consecutive goals were scored by Aqib Ayaaz Jersey No. 02 and from the runner-up team. The lone goal was scored by Kaiser Jersey No. 10. The Man of the Match was awarded to Aqib Ayaaz Jersey No. 02 of the winning team for his hat trick of goals.
Match No. 14
The match started at 1400 hrs between Kashmir United and DFA Pulwama at TRC in presence of Jagbir Singh, Dy. Commandant IRP-3rd Bn. The match was won by Kashmir United by 3:0. The 1st and 3rd goals were scored by Shafayat Jersey No. 08 and the 2nd goal was scored by Imran Jersey No. 05. The Man of the Match was awarded to Shafayat Jersey No. 08 of the winning team for his excellent performance.
Match No. 15
The match started at 1100hrs between Kashmir Panthers and Ali Jana FC at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar in presence of Raj Singh, Commandant JKAP-14TH Bn. The match was won by Ali Jana FC by 6:1. The goal scorers were Ubaid Jersey No. 11, Sahil Jersey No. 05, Farhan Jersey No. 07, Aafreen Jersey No. 10, Moomin Bashir Jersey No. 09. The lone goal was scored by the losing team’s Zahid Rasool Jersey No. 27. The Man of the Match was awarded to Moomin Bashir Jersey No. 09 for his brilliant performance.
Match No. 16
The match started at 1230hrs between Seven Star FC and Star Kashmir FC at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar in presence of Ravinder Pal Singh, Dy.CO IR8th Bn. The match was won by Seven Star FC by 4:2 via a tiebreaker. The goal scorers of Seven Star FC were Haziq Jersey No. 19, Umer Jersey No. 10, Muneeb Jersey No. 12, and Arsalan Jersey No. 14 and from the losing team, the goal was scored by Ayaan Jersey No. 13 and Yasin Jersey No.14. The Man of the Match was awarded to Rahil Jersey No. 20 (goalkeeper) of the winning team for his best performance.
Match No. 17
The match started at 1400 hrs between Galaxy FC and DFA Budgamat Bakshi Stadium Srinagar in presence of Riyaz Ahmad, Dy.CO IRP-9th Bn. The match was won by Galaxy FC by 2:1. The goal scorers of Galaxy FC were Umer Dar Jersey No. 99 and Nadeem Khan Jersey No. 77 while the lone goal scorer from the losing team was Anzar Jersey No. 09. The Man of the Match awarded to Nadeem Ahmad Jersey No. 77 of the winning team.
Moreover, the officers and officials present on the occasion include Wasim Aslam Chairman JKFA, Prof. B A Shah Tournament Director, Bashir Ahmed Malik President DFA Sgr, Mohammad Shafi Nari (Retd. DySP ex-International Footballer), Nazir Ahmed Bhat HOR, Nazir Ahmed Indrabi, Sajid Yousuf Dar (international coach), Latief Ahmad (ex-international football player), Mohd Rafiq Maqdoomi, Zahoor Ahmad Teli (Treasurer DFA Sgr) Showkat Masoodi Secretary DFA Sgr and senior referees Muzaffer Ahamd, Farooq Shaheen and Farooq Ahmad Bhat. Sports Officer Kuldeep Handoo-Dy.SP (Dronacharya awardee), Sajad Hussain DySP, Inspector Ranjeet Singh, Inspector Mohammad Younis, Inspector Madhupal Singh, Mohammad Hussain I/C Sports APHQ, Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar Manager Bakshi Stadium and other concerned officers.
