Baramulla, Oct 30: In a heartfelt tribute to police martyrs and their sacrifices for the nation, the Baramulla police organised a “Run for Unity” and exhibited a photo gallery of martyrs in schools across the police district as part of the ‘Police Flag Day Week-2023.’
The town of Tangmarg witnessed a spirited “Run for Unity,” with enthusiastic participation from school children.
SDPO Tangmarg and SHO Police Station Tangmarg graced the event, and the outstanding performers were honoured for their dedication.
Simultaneously, an exhibition featuring the photo gallery of martyrs was prominently displayed in various schools across Mirgund, Chandoosa, Kreeri, Delina, Wagoora, and Bijhama.
A police official said that the chosen schools held special significance as they were institutions where these brave martyrs had once pursued their education.
The exhibition aimed to enlighten students about the immense sacrifices made by these heroes in the line of duty.
Police said that this initiative, part of the ‘Police Flag Day Week-2023,’ not only paid homage to the fallen heroes but also sought to instill a sense of gratitude and awareness among the younger generation about the sacrifices made by police personnel for the safety and security of the nation.
