Police Flag Day Week 2024: Police organises quiz competition, debates, seminars

Srinagar, Oct 25: As a mark of honour and part of commemorating the sacrifices of police martyrs, Police in Kulgam organised a quiz competition at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Katrasoo in which students of different classes participated. DySP DAR Kulgam Mohd Shafiq, Principal GHSS Katrasoo Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh, besides other police and civil officers were present on the occasion.
While addressing the participants, DySP DAR Kulgam assured them for providing every kind of support to boost sports activities and channelize the talent of youth of the area. The winners and other participants of the competition were honoured by DySP DAR Kulgam with cash rewards. On the conclusion of the event, rich tributes were paid to the police martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the peace and prosperity of the nation.
In Shopian, police organized a debate/seminar on “Role of present-day policing in society and nation building” at Govt. High School Zawoora & Kids Kingdom School Zawoora. Different lectures were delivered by School Principals, Police Officers and students, touching all the angles of the topic and highlighted the positive role being played by the Police. Besides, as a mark of respect and honour, portraits of Police Martyrs of District Shopian were installed/displayed in their respective primary schools where from they had got their primary education. The bravery and martyrdom of Police Martyrs were also highlighted in their schools and also floral tributes were paid.
In Ganderbal, Police organized debate competition on the theme “Role of Police in the Nation Building” at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Ganderbal in which students of various schools participated with full fervour and enthusiasm. On the occasion, Sr. PO Ganderbal Abdul Aziz Zaindari, DySP DAR DPL Ganderbal Nazir Ahmad, Principal G.H.H.S Ganderbal Nusrat Hussain, RI DPL Ganderbal, Lecturers and other Police officers, officials were present. At the conclusion of the debate, DySP DAR DPL Ganderbal Nazir Ahmad appreciated and thanked all the students for participating in the debate. Appreciation/participation certificates were distributed to the students. Moreover, 1st, 2nd & 3rd position holders were also awarded with cash prizes.
