Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have attached a property belonging to a notorious drug peddler worth lacs in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
A Police spokesperson said, In a relentless effort to curb the menace of drug peddling, Kulgam Police continued its proactive actions against offenders, today attached Property (double storey residential house and cowshed) measuring 1291.48 Sq.Ft valuing Rs 2562425 and 1139.5 Sq.Ft valuing Rs 678803 respectively belonging to a notorious drug peddler namely Bashir Ahmad Khanday Son of Mohd Sultan Khanday R/O Nippora under section 68-F(2) of NDPS Act 1985.
The property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation/enquiry conducted by Kulgam police. The property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in narcotic drug and psychotropic substances by the owner. Pertinently the said drug peddler is involved in Case FIR number 148/2022 of Police Station Qazigund.
