Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A Spokesperson said that a police party of Police Station Kunzer headed by SHO PS Kunzer at a checkpoint established at Rambailpora Kunzer, intercepted one person. During his search, 110 grams of Charas like contraband substance was recovered from his possession.
He was identified as Irshad Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Rasool Wani resident of Padithpora Tangmarg. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Kunzer were he remained in custody.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at police Station Kunzer and investigations have been initiated.
