Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police has arrested drug peddler in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A Spokesperson said that a police party of Police Station Pattan headed by SHO PS Pattan at a checkpoint established at Chinar Crossing Pattan near Pandav Park, intercepted one person. During his search, 4 grams of contraband Heroin like substances was recovered from his possession. He was later identified as Amjad Wahan Wani son of Ab Wahab resident of Wani Mohalla Machil Kupwara.He has been arrested and shifted to PS Pattan were he remained in custody.
“Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at police Station Pattan and investigations have been initiated”, he said.
