Police arrests accused in Budgam burglary case

Budgam, Jan 06: The Police on Friday claimed to have solved an theft case within hours and arrested accused person within 24 hours, here in Chadoora tehsil in central Kashmir.
An official from the Police station Chadoora told the Rising Kashmir that they received a complaint from Khurshid Ahmad Dar Son of Ghulam Nabi Dar of Wadipora that during the intervening night of January 5 and 6, some unknown burglars have stolen a generator from his house.
“Upon this information , a case FIR Number 4/2023 u/s 457,380 IPC was registered at Police Station Chadoora, and the investigation was taken up,” Official said
He said that during the course of investigation, many suspects having past history of burglary were zeroed in and during questioning of the suspects, police got a clue and called one suspect namely Showket Ahmad Dar Son of Abdul Gani Dar resident of Brarigund Chadoora for questioning.
“During the questioning, he accepted his role in the theft and his involvement in many other thefts. On his disclosure, the stolen goods worth lakhs were recovered which include Honda generator, pesticide spray motor, brush cutter, inverter, battery, transformer, spray pipe, canvas pipe, polyethylene canvas and sound box,” the police official said.
He added that the further investigation into the case was going on and More arrests & recoveries are expected in this matter.
