Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police party of Police Station Pattan headed by SHO PS Pattan alongwith IC PP Wussan at a checkpoint established at Wussan Pattan, intercepted one person who was identified as Mohd Amir Dar son of Abdul Khaliq resident of Khambiyar, Palhallan. During search 3.250 kgs of contraband Poppy Straw like substances was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Pattan where he remained in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation has been initiated.
