Jammu, May 25: The BJP J&K, on the directions of the high command, is going to organise ‘Beneficiary Sammelans’ in all the 90 assembly constituencies of the union territory. The party has also sent a written request to the BJP high command for holding a rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Jammu during the month-long programme.
The ‘Beneficiary Sammelans’ will start across the country and in J&K from May 30, and will continue till June 30, J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina told Rising Kashmir, adding, “In a written communique, we have requested for a rally of PM Modi at Jammu during this month-long programme”.
Raina added, “We have been assured that the PM’s rally will be held a Jammu during this month-long ‘Beneficiary Sammelans’ programme”.
The aim of the ‘Beneficiary Sammelans’ is to reach out to the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes of the Modi government launched in 9 years since 2014, he said. We want to make the people aware of the welfare schemes of the Modi government before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, municipal elections as also the assembly elections which could also be held anytime, he added.
For the ‘Beneficiary Sammelans’, the J&K BJP has divided the UT into 27 districts as per its organisational setup, under which 17 districts are in the Jammu region and 10 in the Kashmir Valley.
The BJP under this programme has listed around 15 welfare schemes of the Modi government launched in 9 years since 2014. These include Golden Health Card, Ujwala Yojna, free gas connections, PM Awas Yojna, Covid vaccination, etc.
“We have assigned tasks to our leaders for gathering details of the beneficiaries at village, block and district levels,” J&K BJP Secretary, Dr Pardeep Mahotra told Rising Kashmir, adding, “The details of the beneficiaries are being gathered from DC offices, Divisional Commissioner office, gas agencies and from other government offices.”
The J&K BJP has also constituted a UT-level committee for holding ‘Beneficiary Sammelans’ across J&K. The members include former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia, BJYM Prabhari, Munish Sharma, Secretary, Ayodhya Gupta, Mahila Morcha President, Sanjita Dogra, Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Election Management Incharge, Parduman Singh.
During the ‘Sammelans’, the party would present before the people the facts and figures to show how the Modi government influenced their lives in these nine years, Ravinder Raina said.
