The new tunnel is expected to significantly boost connectivity in the region, facilitating year-round travel to the picturesque town of Sonamarg, which is often cut off during winter due to heavy snowfall. This development is anticipated to give a major push to tourism and bolster the local economy by improving access for travelers and businesses alike.
Pertinently, the Z-Morh Tunnel is set to be inaugurated by PM Modi on January 13.”
