Jammu, Apr 29:
Prime Minister NarendraModi, in an exclusive interview with the News18 Network,
issued a defiant challenge to the Congress and other opposition parties: daring them to resurrect Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Responding to recent statements from opposition leaders expressing intent to reinstate Article 370, PM Modi firmly emphasized the legal and jurisdictional barriers preventing such a move.
“Whoever truly comprehends India’s constitution, federal structure, and the limits of jurisdiction, will refrain from making such audacious claims,” Prime Minister Modi asserted, firmly rejecting any notion that even as the hypothetical chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, he would lack the authority to reinstate Article 370.
In a scathing critique of misleading political tactics, PM Modi declared, “Deceiving the people has become a rampant trend – an insidious practice to keep them in the dark. This is precisely why they peddle any and every claim.”
Directly challenging the Congress, PM Modi called upon the party to publicly declare their intention to restore Article 370 in a press conference. He criticized the Congress for exploiting the Constitution and invoking BabasahebAmbedkar for political gains, highlighting the historical absence of the Indian Constitution’s applicability in Jammu and Kashmir until its abrogation in 2019.
“The Dalits and Valmikis are finally receiving reservations in Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370,” PM Modi emphasized, underscoring the positive ramifications of the decision.
The NarendraModi government’s historic revocation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, marked the end of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status and the creation of two Union territories: Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
In addition to addressing the scourge of technological misinformation, PM Modi reaffirmed his commitment to leveraging technology for societal betterment, utilizing social media to understand the populace’s aspirations and ensuring the effective execution of welfare schemes.
Reflecting on his previous terms and outlining his vision for the future, Prime Minister Modi expressed his commitment to elevating India to the status of the third economic superpower. He noted the transformation of expectations into confidence and aspirations during his tenure, aiming for continuity and progress in every sector.
PM Modi outlined ambitious plans, including the PM Surya GharYojana for solar energy in every household, aiming for zero electricity bills and self-reliance in the energy sector. He envisioned a future where electric vehicles could be charged at home through solar energy, reducing transportation costs and benefiting both citizens and the environment.
With a clear vision for the future, PM Modi expressed his determination to achieve a developed India by 2047, emphasizing his commitment to working tirelessly towards this goal.
