Pulwama, Jan 24: “There is lot of excitement among people of Kashmir for Bharat Jodo Yatra and they have been eagerly waiting for Rahul Gandhi’s entry into Kashmir for taking part in this Yatra,” Chetan Chauhan, Secretary All India Congress Committee( AICC), said on Tuesday.
Chauhan , who is also Observer for the Yatra, was taking to media here at Wuyan area of Pulwama  on sidelines of a meeting held for reviewing the Yatra arrangements in this southern district.
He said that Rahul Gandhi’s rally at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar on 30 January will be historic.
“The people of Kashmir have a long and emotional relationship with Gandhi family, I see people here are very much excited and they have been eagerly waiting when Rahul Gandhi will enter Kashmir so that they can walk with him in this Yatra,” he said, adding that people in huge numbers will join Rahul Gandhi’s rally at Shar e Kashmir Stadium on 30 January.
He added that Gandhi is scheduled to reach Qazigund area of South Kashmir on 27 of January. “We met today to invite our party workers from Pampore area to be join the Yatra at nearby Awantipora bypass on 28 of January and at Sher-e-Kashmir stadium on 30 Jannuary,” he said.
On this occasion Chauhan also accused BJP for misleading people by talking about trivial things and remaining silent on real issues .
“BJP doesn’t talk about the issues which Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanikumari to Kashmir raised,” he said, adding that Rahul Gandhi has made it clear that he will raise his voice for restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Chauhan said BJP is silent about unemployment. “They don’t talk about restoration of statehood and about land laws,” he said, adding when they have nothing to say they talk about Rahul Gandhi’s T-shirt and other trivial things  to  mislead people from real issues.

He also said that BJP leaders have been so  scared by Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra that it has given them sleepless nights.
