Kulgam, Oct 08:National Conference (NC) candidate for the Devsar constituency, Peerzada Feroze Ahmad, has won his debut election.
Ahmad secured 18,230 votes, while his close competitor, Mohammad Sartaj Madni, garnered 17,390 votes. With this, the NC leader won by a margin of 840 votes.
Ahmad is a close relative of senior National Conference leader and former Minister Peerzada Ghulam Ahmad Shah, who had previously won from the constituency multiple times.
