Srinagar, Aug 05: Kashmir valley witnessed a day of peace , tranquility with no untoward happening on the occasion of fourth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370. According to police officials, no untoward incident was reported in the region while normal life continued undisrupted and in a hassle free manner.
The day was marked by the smooth functioning of businesses, with shops remaining open and markets bustling with a huge rush of people. Additionally, public transport operated normally, further contributing to a pleasant atmosphere.
“The participation of local residents in the day’s activities with enthusiasm and positivity was evident. Businesses in Srinagar and other districts welcomed customers as usual, offering a glimpse of economic activities that have thrived since the abrogation,” he said.
The officer said public transport was normally operating without disruptions also underscored the progress made in ensuring smooth transportation services.
The police officer commended the cooperation of the people and their collective efforts to maintain a calm environment, emphasizing that such unity is crucial for the region’s growth and development.
“The successful commemoration of the 4th anniversary of Article 370’s abrogation echoes the region’s aspirations for a better future. It reflects the determination of the people to embrace peace and prosperity while striving for inclusive development,” he said.
