Srinagar, Dec 20: The newly-constituted Parliamentary Board of the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP) convened its first meeting on Wednesday at the party headquarters here, which was presided over by its chairman Mohammad Sartaj Madni.
The committee, comprising senior leader and party vice president Ab Rehman Veeri, Ab Hamid Chaudhary, and general secretaries Gh Nabi Lone and Amreek Singh Reen, held a detailed discussion, the party said in a statement.
The primary responsibilities assigned to the Parliamentary Board include overseeing the upcoming parliamentary elections, managing campaigns, and addressing various aspects of election management. The meeting delved into performance evaluations and strategized for the party’s active involvement in the electoral process.
According to the statement, the board decided to conduct district-wise meetings in north, central, and south Kashmir in the coming days to supervise preparations for commemorating the death anniversary of the party’s patron on January 07, 2024.
