Ganderbal, Apr 22: The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday launched its election campaign in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Leading the charge is the party’s candidate for the Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra, who was joined by other PDP leaders including State General Secretary Bashir Ahmed Mir.
Addressing a gathering of party workers at the sub-division Kangan, Parra called for active participation in the electoral process. He urged the workers to discard any notions of boycott and instead exercise their right to vote, saying the ballot is the most potent tool to counter political forces responsible for the hardships faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Parra reiterated the party’s commitment to championing the rights of the people, particularly those adversely affected by the abrogation of Article 370.
Promising to be a formidable advocate for the region’s interests if elected to power, Karra affirmed the PDP’s dedication to restoring the rights and dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
