Srinagar, Aug 10: The leaders of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Apni Party on Thursday visited Nawab Bazar residence of the late Nazir Ahmad, the brother of National Conference general secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar and expressed condolence and solidarity with him.
The PDP delegation included the party’s additional spokesperson Rouf Bhat and constituency in-charge Habba Kadal Arif Laigaroo, Sameer ul Jameel, Sheikh Numan Younis Najar and others.
“The deceased was a noble soul who earned the love and admiration of the people for his straightforwardness, sense of community service, innate simplicity and honesty,” the delegation said, adding, “He was a noble human being, polite, humble and has always remained social and helpful to the community and society in general.”
The leaders prayed to Almighty Allah to grant solace and peace to the departed soul and patience to the bereaved family members to bear the loss.
The Apni Party delegation was led by its president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and included senior party leaders Ghulam Hassan Mir, Rafi Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, and others.
The leaders extended their condolences to Sagar, his son Salman Sagar, who is NC’s provincial president, and other members of the bereaved family.
On th occasion, Bukhari expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and said, “I extend my heartfelt condolences to Sagar Sahib and other members of the grieving family. May Allah give them the patience to bear the pain of this irreparable loss. The Apni Party leadership stands in solidarity with the grieving family during this time of sorrow.” He prayed for eternal peace and the highest place in Jannah for the departed soul.
