Srinagar, Feb 11: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference witnessed a vital surge in support from diverse communities across Lolab and Handwara constituencies during momentous joining ceremonies on Sunday, the party said.
According to a party statement issued here, former Sarpanch Asghar Shah, Altaf Shah and Ghulam Mohd Hajam, alongside hundreds of families from Drugmulla, joined the PC in a ceremony presided over by party president Sajad Lone. Former MLA Adv Bashir Ahmed Dar, Constituency Incharge Kupwara Rustam Ali Khan, Constituency Head Ashiq Hussain, DDC Chowkibal Habibulah Beigh, Spokesperson Adnan Ashraf Mir, Tanveer Khan Mansoor Banday, Rahil Dar and Suhail Mir were also present.
The event underscored the unwavering confidence in the leadership of the PC President and the transformative agenda of the party, the statement reads, adding, “Hundreds of families from Khan Check Tekipora, Charligund Rednag, Darpora and Thandoosa areas of Wavoora and Sogam Blocks in Lolab constituency pledged allegiance to the Party, further bolstering its presence across the district.”
In his address, Sajad Lone reaffirmed the party’s “steadfast commitment to ushering in an era of dignity and development while stressing the importance of community-driven initiatives and inclusive policies uplifting all segments of society”.
“This broad-based support ranges from seasoned political activists to dedicated social workers rallying behind our party’s promise of inclusive development and social justice,” he remarked.
Lone added that with expanding support and a clear vision, the Peoples Conference will play a pivotal role in shaping the socio-political landscape of J&K, focused on progress and development.
“The faith and trust people are placing in our party leadership is humbling. It is a responsibility we must fulfill with utmost sincerity towards the people who are hopeful for a positive change,” he impressed on the newly joined members.
The new entrants and scores of families praised the party’s roadmap for public welfare and pledged vigorous support to bolster the party’s grassroots strength, the PC said.
