Srinagar, Mar 19: J&K Peoples Conference President Sajad Lone, on the second day of his visit to Handwara, chaired yet another significant gathering on Tuesday, including members from Manzgam, Tarthpora A, Tarthpora B, and Villgam B blocks.
The primary objective of the meeting was to encourage party workers to bolster grassroots structures, facilitate enhanced public outreach and strategic planning with regard to the upcoming Parliamentary elections, the party said in a statement, adding that prominent members present in the meeting included Abdul Ahad Kashmiri, Ashiq Hussain Sheikh, Waseem Raja, Block Presidents G M Bhat, Abdul Rashid Peer, Zahoor Lilam and Sonauallah Khan.
In his address, the PC President emphasized the crucial importance of engaging with the people at the grassroots level, understanding their concerns and aligning with their aspirations. “With the profound trust vested in the Peoples Conference comes the weighty responsibility incumbent upon party members to uphold the aspirations of the people and address their concerns with diligence, sincerity, and affinity,” he said.
He hailed the “huge surge” in joining of new members into the party fold, terming it a resounding endorsement of the party’s commitment to public welfare and its vision of catalyzing progress and development. “Our mission transcends conventional political paradigms; it represents a sincere effort to commence a new era in Jammu and Kashmir, marked by inclusivity, empathy, and the pivotal restoration of dignity to our people,” he affirmed.
Sajad Lone highlighted the party’s unwavering dedication to championing the cause of the marginalized and amplifying their voices in the corridors of power. “I call upon our party members to forge robust connections with constituents at the grassroots level, effectively propagating our party’s agenda and eliciting a tangible response from the public,” he said.
Furthermore, scores of prominent political activists joined the Peoples Conference in the presence of the party president, enhancing the party’s strength and amplifying its outreach.
