Udhampur, Apr 10: former legislator and J&K BJP Spokesperson Ranbir Singh Pathania on Monday called for provision of proper transport facility for nomads to move their livestock from various locations to Kashmir and Kishtwar for seasonal migration.
While conducting grievance redressal camp at BJP headquarters, Udhampur, Pathania said every year, migratory nomads take their livestock to higher reaches of Kashmir and Kishtwar to save them from exposure to scorching heat as well as grazing them in plush grasslands.
Pathania called for offering transport facilities uniformly to nomads across the length and breadth of the district.
It was also spelled out that a whopping number of funds as well as initiatives has been made available for the virtual upliftment and empowerment of SCs and STs by the dispensation at the Centre.
Amongst other general issues pertaining to retaining of Cutting/Tailoring Centre at Dandyal, Udhampur, PMAY cases in Bari Village of Kalwanta block, stalled building permissions, staff shortage in schools/health institutions, proper voltage electricity, NABARD roads were projected by a number of deputations who called on in the BJP office with references and telephone calls to concerned officials.
