Participate actively in Gram Sabhas: ADDC Gbl to people

Ganderbal, Oct 04: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani on Wednesday chaired a mega public darbar at Safapora as part of the government’s ambitious weekly Bock Diwas programme.
The PRI members and several delegations of block Safapora participated actively in the program and appraised the ADDC about the developmental needs in their respective areas.
On the occasion, the PRIs highlighted the achievements in the current financial year and the developmental activities registered from the last five years in their respective areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC complemented the PRIs for fulfilling the developmental needs of locals in their respective Panchayats as per their needs.
The PRIs and locals put forth their issues particularly augmentation of drinking water supply, staff dearth in NTPHC, Mini stadium for Safapora, breach canals for better irrigation purposes, fencing of graveyards,  public parks, and other issues of public importance.
While highlighting the development activities in the district, the ADDC maintained that the District Administration is working tirelessly to ensure all facilities are provided to people at their doorsteps in all blocks of the district and in this regard district development plan is framed as per the plan submitted by the PRIs who are well aware about the locals needs.
Interacting with the locals, the ADDC urged them to participate actively in the Gram Sabhas and note down their demands so that the plan could be framed accordingly. He also appealed to people to keep their surroundings clean so that every village becomes garbage-free, which should be the top priority of every individual.
The ADDC also assured quality disposal of genuine issues in time time-bound manner and gave on-spot directions for redressal of many issues of urgent category as per the competence of concerned departments.
Among others, the programme was attended by Assistant Commissioner Development, Dr Bashir Ahmad, DSHO, CAO, District Lead Bank Manager, Tehsildar Lar, DYSSO, BDO Safapora, PRIs and other officials of line departments.
