Jammu, Sept 14: Panun Kashmir observed the Martyrs Day (BalidanDiwas) today in Jammu at the Kangra Fort to pay tributes to slain Kashmiri Pandits
In a statement issued, spokesperson of Panun Kashmir said September 14th is observed by the entire Kashmiri Pandit community as the Black Day as it was on this day that the selected killings of the Hindus of Kashmir.
This year’s Balidan Diwas, he said, started with the Shradh Sankalp by MeenakshiSharan f.
While speaking on the occasion, Meenakshisharan said,”Shradhsankalp initiated on 15th August every year is the duty of every Hindu to take pledge that we will bring Hindu genocide enablers to book so that our ancestors brutally killed get peace. We have to recognise our duty for PitraRinn(Debt of Ancestors) and start a campaign so that Hindu genocide is recognised in history text books in India.”
Aarti Tiku Singh,a journalist said,” It is due to the efforts of the Kashmiri Pandits that masses were sensitised all over India and abroad about the pitfalls of Article 370 and 35A and the central government was prompted to take decisive step. Abrogation of these articles is the first step towards resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir.”
Advocate Ankur Sharma, President, Ekam Sanatan Bharat Dal, said,” Governance in Jammu and Kashmir has been reduced to conflict management. Though Article 370 and 35 A have been neutralised but the administrative and governance mechanism based on it still functioning with impunity. Abrogation of these articles will bear fruit only when political reorganisation is made complete. That is the creation of the Homeland of Panun Kashmir for Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir with UT status and separate Jammu state.”
Gandhi Jayanti celebrations held at GDC Ajas
Bandipora, Sept 14: Government Degree College (GDC), Ajas Thursday organized a special program to reflect on the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi, particularly his philosophy of non-violence under the banner of Gandhi Jayanti celebrations.
The programme highlighted the importance of Gandhian principles in today’s world, especially in the context of education and peace-building.
It also highlighted the relevance of Gandhian principles of non-violence, truth, and simplicity in contemporary times.
On the occasion an interactive session was conducted. The audience had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in a meaningful dialogue with Dr. Bhat. This session allowed for a deeper exploration of Gandhian philosophy and its practical applications.
The Gandhi Jayanti program organized by Government Degree College, Ajas was a meaningful and enlightening event that provided a platform for reflection on the principles of Mahatma Gandhi.
