Jammu Apr 18: JK National Panthers Party on Tuesday demanded holding of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir without further delay and also called for restoration of statehood.
Party president while chairing a party meeting said that the people are looking for an alternative to BJP as they are fed up with its anti people policies.
He said that in the UT of J & K democracy has been strangulated and the will of the people is being ignored. He said that early assembly polls are the need of the hour as only the elected government is accountable to the public.
Singh said that in the absence of an elected government people are suffering badly and their grievances are not being redressed. Singh also asked the party workers to get prepared for polls as and when they are held.
While speaking on the occasion, Working President of the party P K Ganju said that the party shall fight for the restoration of Statehood.
He said that derogation of status of J & K from state to UT is not acceptable at all. He said that the J&K National Panthers party is the only party which can do justice to all the regions of J&K.
