Rajouri, May 21: To empower youth and promote self-employment, a Panchayat-level awareness program on Mission YUVA initiative was today organized at Panchayat Ghar Kotedhara by the District Employment and Counselling Centre (DE&CC) here under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from unemployed youth and aspiring entrepreneurs of Kotedhara and adjoining Panchayats. The initiative is part of Mission YUVA, a flagship program of the Government of J&K focused on fostering entrepreneurial culture, skill development, and providing financial support to the youth for gaining livelihood.
Deputy Director DE&CC Mohammad Nawaz delivered a comprehensive briefing on the salient features of Mission YUVA, including eligibility criteria and the application process. A live demonstration of the Mission YUVA mobile app and online portal was also conducted to facilitate easier understanding of the application function.
The event saw active involvement of local stakeholders including youth, PRI members, and community leaders, reaffirming the community’s commitment to youth empowerment. The program also served as a platform to promote inter-departmental coordination for supporting youth-centric schemes.
