Jammu, April 29:A recently married Pakistani woman, Meenal Khan, was sent back to her home country from Jammu following the Indian government’s directive requiring Pakistani nationals to leave the country in the wake of the recent Pahalgam terror attack.

Meenal Khan, who had tied the knot with a resident of Jammu just weeks ago, was seen leaving the city in tears as emotional scenes unfolded at the border. Family members and locals gathered to bid her farewell, with many expressing grief over the separation.

The Indian government’s decision came after a terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed multiple lives and heightened security concerns in the region. As part of the response, authorities ordered all Pakistani nationals residing in India under temporary visas to return to their homeland.

Meenal’s departure has sparked a wave of sympathy among locals in Jammu, many of whom questioned the impact of the order on innocent civilians caught in the crossfire of diplomatic tensions.

Officials stated that the move is part of broader security measures and assured that the cases of affected individuals would be reviewed based on evolving circumstances.
