Jammu, Nov 04: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary and in-charge of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Tarun Chugh on Monday said terrorists in J&K are a frustrated lot and their attempt to create panic among people is not only reprehensible but an act of cowardice.
Strongly condemning the grenade attack at the busy Sunday market near the Tourist Reception Centre in Srinagar, Chugh said, “Terrorism has been largely wiped out of the union territory but Pakistan-sponsored terrorists have been making desperate attempts to spread violence. The security forces would give them a befitting reply.”
He said it is time that the National Conference (NC) leaders like Farooq Abdullah should stop talking about Pakistan. “It is signals sent by the Abdullahs that keep encouraging the Pakistan-sponsored terrorists to indulge in violent activities in J&K,” he alleged.
The BJP leader said the peaceful conduct of the recent Assembly and Lok Sabha elections testified that people in J&K want peace and development in a democratic manner.
