Pahalgam cab driver returns lost gold worth lakhs to tourist

Pahalgam, Dec 06: Restoring faith in humanity, a taxi driver Tuesday returned gold worth Rs 10 lakh to a tourist in Pahalgam resort.
Abdul Rashid, President Taxi stand at “Rafting Point” Pahalgam told Rising Kashmir that they received a phone call from a tourist who said that a small bag containing gold was lost.
Akash Farooq Wani, taxi drive thoroughly searched his vehicle and found the small bag. Later, it was handed over to the tourist from the Hyderbad.
“The tourist had come back from Srinagar airport when he remembered having forgotten the bag in the vehicle. He has expressed gratitude to the taxi driver,” the taxi stand president said.
The president of the taxi stand announced five thousand of prize award for the driver for his honesty.
