In the aftermath of the brutal terror attack in Pahalgam, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has called for a firm and uncompromising fight against terrorism and its sources. Stressing the need for decisive action, Abdullah also warned against measures that could alienate the general public.
“Punish the guilty, show them no mercy, but don’t let innocent people become collateral damage,” Abdullah emphasized, underlining the importance of targeting only those responsible for violence while safeguarding the lives of civilians.
The Chief Minister praised the people of Kashmir for their spontaneous and courageous stand against terrorism and the killing of innocents. “The people have come out openly, freely, and spontaneously against terrorism,” he said. “It is crucial now to build on this support and ensure that no misplaced actions undermine their trust.”
