Outstanding Taekwondo players honoured in felicitation ceremony

Kargil, Nov 13:  In a grand ceremony held at the Conference Hall of Spring Dale Public School (SDPS) Mulbekh, the Shargole Taekwondo Association celebrated the stellar achievements of its players in the recently concluded District and State Level Taekwondo Championships.
Mohd Ali Chandan, former Executive Councillor and President of Shargole Taekwondo Association, joined forces with Principal Tsewang Nurboo of SDPS Mulbekh and the Coach and General Secretary of Shargole Taekwondo Association, State Awardee Tashi Tundup, to extend a warm welcome to the accomplished players. The players were honored with traditional Khataks in recognition of their outstanding performances.
Among the distinguished players were students from Spring Dales Public School Mulbekh, High School Wakha, Higher Secondary School Shargole, and Druk Padma Karpo School Khachey Foka. 
Together, they secured an impressive tally of 7 Gold, 2 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals at the 13th District Kargil Taekwondo Championship held at the Indoor Stadium in Kargil. Additionally, the team clinched 3 Gold, 6 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals at the 2nd UT Ladakh Taekwondo Championship.
During the ceremony, Mohammad Ali Chandan lauded the efforts of International Player, State Awardee, and Coach Tashi Tundup for molding such an outstanding team within a limited timeframe. 
He expressed the association’s commitment to providing a dedicated hall for the players’ regular practice. As a token of appreciation, Cash Prizes were awarded to each and every player, marking the culmination of a memorable event that celebrated excellence in Taekwondo.
