One dead, 15 injured in Pampore road accident

Pulwama, May 30 : A tragic road accident in the Drangbal area of Pampore in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district claimed one life and left 15 others injured on Thursday morning.
The incident involved a bus carrying passengers from Jammu to Srinagar.
TehsildarPampore, Malik Asif Ahmad, informed Rising Kashmir that the bus met with the accident after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
He said that the accident resulted in one passenger’s death and injuries to several others.
Ahmad mentioned that some of the injured were shifted to Srinagar hospital for specialised treatment, while the deceased passenger’s body was placed in the mortuary at the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Pampore.
Block Medical Officer Pampore, Dr.Asima, told Rising Kashmir that the hospital received one dead and 15 injured persons.
“Among the injured, one was critically hurt and referred to Srinagar for advanced care,” she said, adding that others were either discharged after receiving initial treatment or sent to SMHS for further treatment.An eyewitness attributed the accident to over speeding.
