one-day training on Holistic Agriculture Development (HADP) was today held at the community center of Londi Panchayat in Hiranagar, Kathua district.
The training program was presided over by SDM Hiranagar, Rakesh Kumar, and organized under the stewardship of Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Dr Rakesh Minhas with the objective to cover five model Panchayats of Hiranagar tehsil with the cent percent saturation of the HADP scheme.
During the event, officers from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Kathua, Agriculture, and allied sectors participated. The training was imparted to the farmers on 29 projects approved by the Government of J&K, with an outlay of Rs. 5013 crore to be spent over the next five years. These projects aim to transform the agriculture economy of J&K, putting it on a new trajectory of growth, doubling the output of the sectors, boosting exports, and making the sectors sustainable and commercially viable. The projects cover various sectors including Horticulture, Sericulture, Apiculture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Poultry, Fisheries, etc.
