Srinagar, Sep 06 People’s Democratic Party Leader and Contesting Candidate from Budgam Constituency Agha Syed Muntazir on Friday said that omar Abdullah is only representing elitism not people.
Speaking to reporters, Muntazir said that despite the scrutiny faced by the National Conference, they attempted to field their candidate in Budgam on the last day of nominations. “The elders and youth of Budgam have decided who their candidate is and which community to trust,” he said.
Referring to Abdullah’s nomination in both Ganderbal and Budgam, Muntazir pointed out the lack of increased public participation in Budgam compared to Ganderbal.
He also said that Omar was facing a tough challenge from Ishfaq Jabbar in Ganderbal. “As far as omar is concerned, he is not a politician. He is part of an elite cartel and has only represented elitism throughout his political life,” he further said.
Muntazir said that his party was not concerned about competition in Budgam, stating that the people had placed their confidence in the PDP and its local candidate. “I am not a parachute landing; my Aadhaar card is from Budgam,” he added.(KNS)
