The Vice-President Of National Conference Omar Abdullah on Monday clarified that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has neither extended nor offered any formal support to the NC-Congress alliance.
He urged restraint amidst growing rumors, stating, “I wish we could put a lid on all this premature speculation for the next 24 hours.”
Omar Abdullah replied to the remarks made by his father Dr Farooq Abdullah who expressed his opinion over the support offer made by PDP leaders and said, “They haven’t extended support, they haven’t offered support and we don’t know what the voters have decided yet, so I really wish we could put a lid on all this premature speculation for the next 24 hours.”
Earlier Farooq Abdullah said, “Even if we don’t need it, we will take the support (from PDP) because if we have to go ahead, we have to do it together. We all have to make an effort to save this state. This state is in a lot of difficulties. Educated youth have no jobs, inflation is skyrocketing, there is drug menace.”
